About us

The oldest performing arts organization in El Dorado County.

Our History & Mission

The El Dorado County Community Concert Association, established in 1950, is the oldest performing arts organization in El Dorado County. We were originally part of a national concert association based in New York. When that association dissolved, our Board, recognizing the importance of live music in our community, decided to continue presenting concerts independently. As our membership grew, our venues changed, and we currently present concerts at the Union Mine High School Theatre in El Dorado.

In 2015, we obtained 501(c)(3) tax exempt status which allows donations to our organization to generally be tax deductible. These funds, along with those obtained through our sponsorship program, help us to afford highly skilled musicians for our concerts, as well as fund our student outreach programs, allowing professional artists to conduct live, interactive music assemblies free of charge at K-12 schools in the area.

Our mission as an all volunteer, non-profit membership organization is to support our community and provide a variety of outstanding live musical entertainment at affordable prices. Our vision is to keep quality music alive for future generations in El Dorado County, accomplished through a variety of community and student outreach programs.

Student Outreach

Our student outreach program brings live, interactive musical performances to engage, enrich and educate K-12 students on the Western Slope of El Dorado County during the school day on their campuses at no cost to the schools.

Students are exposed to a variety of musical genres from various cultures; introduced to a variety of musical instruments; and have the opportunity to interact and ask questions with the artists during the assemblies and music class presentations. Both students and staff who participate receive a direct benefit as live music experiences compliment school music instruction.

Over the years, thousands of students have benefited from the cultural enrichment of EDCCCA’s student outreach school assemblies. We are grateful for the generosity of our members and business sponsors and donors who help to fund this essential program.

Volunteer Leadership

Dedicated members donate their time and talents to serve on the Board of Directors and various committees to cut expenses for the good of our non-profit association. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Contact us to join the fun.
